Downtown Ottawa Real Estate
Downtown Ottawa known also as Centre town (Centre-Ville in French). It is bordered by the Ottawa River, the Rideau Canal, Somerset Street home to many restaurants and cafes and also Bronson Avenue. Centre town is home to a variety of properties from residential to commercial. Although this area is the core business centre of Ottawa you will find many Victorian style homes near the Rideau Canal.
The area has many historical landmarks surch as Chateau Laurier, National Arts Centre, Lord Elgin Hotel, Ottawa Courts, City Hall. You can also enjoy walks on the Parliament grounds, Sparks Street on in the Byward Market.
This area is great if you love a night on the town or if you like to take place in the numerous festivals that come to Ottawa. A new pedestrian bridge over the canal allows for better access to the Ottawa University campus, making it great for students.
